Email (SMTP)

Outgoing mail uses Laravel's mail system. Configure SMTP in the Operator panel — runtime settings override .env.

Admin settings

Navigate to Admin → Settings → Email (see also the Operator panel overview).

  1. Enter SMTP host, port, encryption (tls / ssl), username, and password.
  2. Set From address and From name (white-label).
  3. Click Send test email.

Passwords are encrypted at rest and never shown again; leave the password field blank to keep the saved secret.

Installer and .env fallback

During shared hosting install, Step 3 collects relay settings. Until you save the panel, these .env keys apply:

MAIL_MAILER=smtp
MAIL_HOST=mail.yourhost.com
MAIL_PORT=587
[email protected]
MAIL_PASSWORD=your_smtp_password
MAIL_FROM_ADDRESS="[email protected]"
MAIL_FROM_NAME="${APP_NAME}"

Per-tenant sender name

Tenants can override the public From name in /app → Settings → Business profile. The SMTP relay remains Operator-controlled.
